With reference to my despatch No.7 of the

31st of May on the subject of the mode of issuing the dellar in the Far East, I have the honour to inform you that it has been found necessary to make a slight alteration in the explanatory part of Paragraph 2 of the Treasury Kinute of the 17th of liarch.

2. I have accordingly to request that you will cause the words "Banks buying rate for sterling is less favourable to the seller of sterling than their selling rate,and their customers can only turn sterling inte dellars at the former rate;" to be substituted for the words between "for the reason that the" and "the result in that" in that paragraph.
